it's always about the food.

on wednesday, a few of us (the roomie, sibling, noisy, sibling's housie) went to check out the 5dolla steak at Uni Pub. like some ulu people.. we went: "eh so cool. so fun! cook your own steak".. when we didn't even know how to start. so we dumped anything we saw on to our raw piece of meat and put it on the pit. having no idea how it would actually turn out.

for five bucks, it was some good 'heated' fun :) i noted to them.. the place had a very 'happy environment'. only to realise everyone were mostly having induced happiness if u know what i mean. but worth it la worth it.

and speaking about food, i decided to bake my cheesecake yesterday. just to have a reason not to study :p i couldn't exactly remember the recipe i usually use so i asked roomie to google some recipe. this recipe didn't include milk and sugar. so weird huh. i mean it should have included at least sugar. but anyway it didn't. so as we were adding stuff.. i told roomie, give me some milk. cos i remember using milk the last time. she asked me 'oh must use milk?'. then i said yeah..'the recipe on the computer doesn't include but my recipe has milk'. she looked at me and said.. 'yourrr recipe'. :)

anyway we mixed the stuff up and decided to melt some chocolate to put into it as well. nak creative la tu. the choc hardened, which shouldn't be the case *hahaa. but who cares. we gleefully put it in the oven and waited.

when we took it out.. it looked like a success. almost anyway :) smelled nice. thats a good start. so we took it back.. made ourselves a cuppa tea each and cut a slice each to indulge ourselves in. i ate the base. nice nice. then i took a bite of the cake. one bite and i knew straight away what i forgotten. how could i even have forgotten it omg.

'we forgot to put sugar!'

the whole cheesecake was sugarless! luckily we dumped the melted chocolate in. but my forever-supportive roomie just says:

"it's okay. i like it. i'll finish the whole thing if you don't want it."

:) *hehee. she's the best.
